Gunman Kills 50, Injures Over 200 In Worst Mass Shooting In U.S. History

The worst mass shooting in U.S. history occurred last night during an outdoor music festival attended by 22,000 concertgoers on the Las Vegas strip after the lone suspect shot with a semi-automatic gun from his hotel room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel, killing at least 50 and injuring over 200 people.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police released a statement that reports an estimated 406 people were taken to the hospital after the lone suspect, identified as 64 year old Stephen Craig Paddock, a white male from Mesquite, Nevada shot concertgoers at approximately 10: 08 p.m. across the street attending the Route 91 Harvest Festival concert.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Swat responded to the call, breached the hotel room, and found the suspect dead.

Among the dead is an off duty police officer from Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.

Police have not identified any motive in the shooting which isn’t believed to be connected to any terrorist group.

A woman described as a traveling companion and roommate of Stephen Paddock was located by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police.

Numerous firearms were discovered in Stephen Paddock’s hotel room.

This is an unfolding story.

Here is some video (non-graphic) of the tragic event taken from a concertgoer:
