Music star Taylor Swift will appear in a Colorado courtroom on Monday for her counter lawsuit filed against David Mueller, a former Denver DJ who Swift claims had sexually assaulted her by lifting up her skirt and groping her bare buttocks before a 2013 concert event in Denver.
On Friday U.S. District Court Judge Martinez ruled that Swift wasn’t liable for the $ 3 million lawsuit Mueller had filed against Swift due to insufficient evidence regarding his defamation claim that the pop singer tried to get him fired from his Denver radio station for allegedly groping her during a photo op before a 2013 Denver concert.
Although Judge Martinez dismissed Mueller’s lawsuit against Swift on Friday, Swift’s mother Andrea Swift and her radio promotions director Mr. Frank Bell, who were also named in Mueller’s lawsuit, will appear in court on Monday and a jury will hear the same allegations from Mueller that they pressured his radio station KYGO to have him fired for the alleged groping incident in 2013 which cost him his job and reputation.
Taylor Swift’s counter lawsuit against Mueller is largely symbolic, established for just $ 1 and she has said that she plans to donate money awarded in damages to charitable organizations that protect women from sexual assault acts.
The jury will weigh Taylor Swift’s countersuit sexual assault allegations on Monday.
