A vehicle plowed into a crowd of people Saturday at a Virginia rally where violence erupted between white nationalist demonstrators and counter-protesters, witnesses said, causing an unclear number of injuries.

A speeding vehicle estimated to be traveling 30 miles per hour plowed into a crowd of protestors who were protesting a white nationalist rally in Charlottesville, Virginia on Saturday.

The violent act appears deliberate, targeted to inflict fatal injuries against the protestors, and has the appearance of domestic terrorism, although the identity of vehicle owner remains unknown at this time.

Several people were injured, according to witnesses on the street, and medics arrived on the scene to take the injured to the hospital.

Here is another video of the vehicle plowing into the crowd (graphic):

A state of emergency was declared by Virginia Governor Terry McAuliffe earlier in the day in response to the violence at the Alt-Right rally in Charlottesville.
