BreitBart Editor Tweets Strange Conspiracy Theory Attacking Vogue Magazine Photo

Breitbart’s economics and finance editor John Carney tweeted on Thursday a controversial tweet yesterday laced with a conspiracy theory about movie star Jennifer Lawrence posing in front of the Statue of Liberty that will soon be featured on the September cover of Vogue and later connected the photo to the immigration debate after claiming it was an attack on the right from the oppositional media.

Carney tweeted, “We’re going to have to create a full shadow cultural industry because the Opposition Media can’t even do fashion without attacking us.”

The magazine cover pose of Jennifer Lawrence isn’t considered political and has a caption reading, “American Beauty, Jennifer Lawrence On Love, Liberty, and the Freedom to be Herself.”

But Breitbart Editor John Carney saw the photo from a conspiracy theory mindset and caused a new controversy with his latest tweet.

In his follow-up tweets, Carney connected the Jennifer Lawrence Vogue pose to the American immigration reform issue which recently surfaced last week with Republicans on Capitol Hill proposing the Raise Act that reforms the green card application process by favoring applicants who can speak English, financially support themselves and their families, and demonstrate skills that will contribute to the U.S. economy.

Carney tweeted, “If you want the Statue of Liberty to be a non-partisan symbol of America, don’t make her central to your case against immigration reform.”

Vogue Communication Director Zara Rahim replied to Breitbart Editor John Carney that the Vogue photo shoot occurred in June- before the immigration reform issue surfaced last week with the Raise Act.

Zara Rahim tweeted, “we shot this in June buddy.”

Trump’s Recent Tweet About Upgrading Nuclear Arsenal Isn’t Fully True

President Trump is stretching the truth with his August 9th claim on Twitter that he’s renovated and modernized American’s nuclear arsenal which hasn’t actually occurred under his presidency.

In 2010 former U.S. President Obama completed a $400 billion plan under the nuclear posture review that modernized America’s nuclear arsenal but President Trump hasn’t renovated American’s nuclear arsenal except for directing his secretary of defense to initiate a Nuclear Posture Review.

Trump tweeted, “My first order as President was to renovate and modernize our nuclear arsenal. It is now far stronger and more powerful than ever before….”

President Trump has also made false claims in recent days by claiming that he’s had phone calls with a Boy Scout leader and Mexico’s president.
