U.S. Stocks Under Pressure At End Of Week Ahead Of Trump’s Speech Before Congress

U.S. stocks indexes have opened lower on Friday and are showing weakness ahead of President Trump’s speech before Congress on Tuesday where the Republican president is expected to provide more insight about his political and fiscal agenda.

Global shares have rallied in recent weeks, largely on the hope that President Trump will deliver big on his pledge to bring forward “phenomenal” tax cuts, although the details are still unknown.

Trump said during an earlier press conference that his first priority will be addressing healthcare before taxes.

European shares have come under pressure on Friday following some disappointing corporate earnings.
