U.S. President Donald Trump said today in a speech at CIA Headquarters in Langley, Virginia that the U.S. should have kept the oil during the Iraq War and God held back rain from his inauguration speech on Friday in Washington D.C.
Trump told the Virginia audience that he remembers when he was young the U.S. was always “winning things” in the past with trade and war and now the U.S. doesn’t win anymore.
“The old expression, ‘To the victor belong the spoils’… you remember I used to always say ‘Keep the oil.'”
Trump later admitted he wasn’t a fan of the invasion in Iraq and the U.S got out wrong.
In fact, Trump spoke out in public in favor of the Iraq War during a 2002 interview with radio host Howard Stern which can be heard in its entirety right here:
“And I always said in addition to that, ‘Keep the oil'” Trump said today at CIA Headquarter in Virginia which he said was for economic reasons and preventing the rise of ISIS.
“Maybe we’ll have another chance” Trump said.
“But the fact is…. we should have kept the oil” Trump insisted.
Trump called the CIA one of the most important groups in the U.S. towards making America safe and towards making us “winners” again and ending interrelated problems.
“We have so many problems that are interrelated that we don’t even think of but interrelated to the kind of havoc and fear that this ‘sick group of people’ has caused” Trump said.
Trump admitted that he has a “running war against the media” whom he called among the “most dishonest human beings on earth.”
Trump denied that he has a feud with the intelligence community.
Trump boasted that he’s been given good reviews about his inauguration speech and claimed his inauguration appeared there was between a million and a million and a half million people in attendance which claimed ran all the way down to the Washington Monument.
The inauguration committee told CNN that 250,000 tickets were distributed with some additional onlookers in attendance.
Trump criticized reports in the media claiming he didn’t draw well during his inauguration with only 250,000 attending his inauguration.
Hand Of God Protects Trump’s Supporters During Inauguration Ceremony
Trump suggested today in his speech that divine intervention played a direct role in preventing rain from falling hard during his inauguration speech.
“I said it was almost raining, the rain should have scared them away but God looked down and he said ‘We’re not going to let in rain on your speech.'”
Trump admitted that the rain poured after his speech ended.
Here are the photos of the inauguration speeches in 2009 when Barack Obama was first inaugurated and in 2017.
Obama’s inauguration in 2009 drew an estimated 1.8 million with much colder temperatures compared with the temperature during yesterday’s inauguration which was in the 40’s.
