Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump gave a speech on Friday at the NRA annual convention in Louisville, Kentucky where he received an endorsement from the rile association and then accused Democratic presidential frontrunner Hilary Clinton of wanting to abolish the second amendment concerning the right to bear arms.
Clinton vehemently denies that she opposes the second amendment which other Republican presidential nominees have also accused her of in the past.
But she advocates for a more comprehensive federal background process for purchasing guns and co-sponsored legislation to extend and reinstate the assault weapons ban and voted against the immunity protections Congress provided gun dealers and manufacturers that prevent victims of gun violence from holding negligent manufacturers and dealers accountable.
“Hilary wants to disarm vulnerable Americans in high crime neighborhoods” Trump said in Louisville.
“Whether it’s a young single mom in Florida or a grandmother in Ohio, Hilary wants them to be defenseless, wants to take away any chance they have of survival….. and that’s why we’re going to call her ‘Heartless Hilary’ ” Trump added.
Trump claimed that Clinton wants to take guns away from Americans and abolish the Second Amendment.
“Crooked Hilary Clinton is the most anti-gun, anti Second-Amendment candidate ever to run for office” Trump said.
“And as I said before she wants to abolish the Second Amendment. She wants to take your guns away” Trump added.
After mentioning the Paris terrorist attack last year, Trump explained that Paris has some of the toughest gun laws in the world.
Clinton fired back at Donald Trump through a tweet that pointed out he was mistaken about her not upholding Second Amendment rights.
