President Obama will be giving a rare 8:00 p.m. EST speech from the Oval Office and address the country following the deadly mass shooting in San Bernardino, California on December 2nd that the F.B.I. is now calling a terrorist attack led by 2 perpetrators who became radicalized by Islamic ideology during their recent travels to the Middle East with one perpetrator making a pledge of allegiance to the leader of Islamic State (aka ISIS or ISIL).
Although Islamic State denied that the 2 perpetrators were actual members, their killing rampage on U.S. soil was later praised by the radicalized terror group that has vowed to strike targets in the U.S. and Western Europe.
President Obama will attempt to calm nerves in his speech as Americans are increasingly on edge in the wake of the San Bernardino December 2nd attack and question the Obama’s administration strategy to protect the homeland and destroy Islamic State in the Middle East while Obama seeks to develop a viable long term resolution in torn war Syria where political unrest beginning in 2011 has helped Islamic State to grow.
Later this evening, some of the details of Obama’s speech will be covered here on this site. I also promise to cover the week ahead for the market.
