Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, who is known for making controversial and at times offensive comments, has come under criticism again today after he tweeted today a photo collage of Jeb Bush that contains images of the former Florida governor next to a swastika and wearing a Mexican sombrero in the desert playing a guitar.
NBC first reported: Tuesday’s tweet from Trump appeared to be quoting from– or a partial retweet of– a supporter’s message with a photo collage of anti-Bush imagery.
In Trump’s tweet , it reads: Adios Jeb, AKA Jose
Jeb Bush, whose wife in Mexican, has criticized Bush’s right-wing views on immigration during the Republican race.
During Trump’s speech announcing his candidacy, he compared Mexican immigrants to rapists and spoke about building a border wall along the U.S. Mexican border paid for by Mexico.
Trump later said that he supports deporting 11 million undocumented immigrants living in the U.S.,
Recent poll numbers from NBC/WSJ show that Trump’s poll numbers have declined and he is the no longer the front runner among Republicans.
Retired neurosurgeon Ben Carson has captured the lead.
It’s unclear why Trump is interested in targeting Bush whose poll numbers have been falling.
By posting a controversial and offensive tweet, Trump has given his opponents more material to slam the outspoken and colorful Republican presidential candidate.
