Bloomberg reported today that in July Apple’s suppliers will begin the production of Apple’s new iPhone 6 in China, according to unnamed sources.
There are two versions of the iPhone 6 on the way in the next 3 months.
The first version will be a 4.7 inch screen that is expected to be released in September.
The second version is the larger 5.5 inch screen that reportedly will be released around the same time which is a new development.
According to my sources, the larger 5.5 inch screen version was slated to be released later in the fall after the release of the 4.7 inch version in September.
Apple seems to have worked out some of their production issues and could be set to release their two new versions around the same time in September.
The new iPhones will also be rounder and thinner than earlier models.
Apple is expected to be using sapphire crystal for future displays on the iPhone 6 rather than Corning Gorilla Glass which it currently uses for its iPhones.
Apple is also rumored to be using an A8 chip that has a quad-core 64 bit processor and quad-core graphics.
Both the 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch iPhones will have an increased resolution due to the larger screens. The iPhone 5 and 5 S have smaller 4 inch screens.
