Retail Sales Improves In February

MIIRAfter three consecutive months of decline, retail sales showed some improvement in February when cold winter weather played less of a role on the spending habits of Americans.

The Commerce Department reported today that retail sales rose 0.3 percent in February, matching estimates and beating a revised decline of 0.6 in January along with two prior months of weaker than expected retail sales.
